The hottest months in Rocklands are during the summer and autumn seasons from December to May. It gets extremely hot with average daily temperatures ranging between 30° (86F) and 40º (104F) with very little rainfall.
The cooler months are during the winter and spring seasons from May / June to October making these the most suitable for climbing. The average daily temperatures range between 19º (66F) and 24° (75F).
During April and June Rocklands experiences its highest rainfalls with an average rainfall of 27mm. These subside to 20mm from July to September. Between October and November the rainfall decreases to an average of 11mm as the temperatures begin to climb once again.
2008: The season was overall very cold and wet. In July Rocklands experienced 6 days of continous rain. Temperatures were high at the beginning of May and the end of October.
2009: The season has been overall very warm and dry. In July Rocklands experienced 4 days of heavy rain. Temperatures were cool mid-May but since the end of August the days have been extremely warm. The nights have been extremely cold.

It has been raining heavily since Monday. Weather reports expect it to last until midday Thursday. No chance of climbing in these conditions and we need at least half a day of sunshine to dry the rocks.

Dead good website with all important informations about Rocklands. I was at Rocklands in march and the weather was much too hot (about 40°). We are burned between the amazing boulders :-). So go there a month or two later and you will discover the best bouldering area i know!!! Falko
